I provide Immigration Evaluations in English and Spanish for Hardship Waivers, Cancellation of Removal Waivers, VAWA, and Asylum.

I work closely with clients and attorneys to provide a detailed, neutral, and unbiased evaluation for your immigration proceedings.

Evaluations are provided virtually and offered to persons anywhere within North Carolina and Georgia, as long as you have access to stable internet and a device with video and audio capability (smartphone, tablet, computer).

Immigration Evaluations

Types of Waivers:

Extreme Hardship Waiver/Cancellation of Removal- These evaluations are provided to demonstrate the emotional and psychological impact or hardship that the family (children, spouse, parents) would experience when an immigrant is at risk of deportation.

Political Asylum Waiver- These evaluations document the trauma the asylum seeker experienced in their country of origin based upon race, religion, nationality, political opinion/affiliation, or membership in a social group.

VAWA/Domestic/Spousal Abuse Waiver- These evaluations document the extent of domestic/spousal abuse and the psychological impact of the abuse on the immigrant.

What to expect:
Evaluations take place virtually using secure and confidential online platform. The evaluation is typically a one-on-one interview that will include questions about your experience and story as well as verbal and online questionnaires about symptoms you may be experiencing. I typically meet with clients 1-2 times for a total of 2-4 hours. If necessary we will schedule more time. After meeting, I then write the clinical report that is completed 2 weeks after our last interview. For time sensitive cases the report is completed sooner for an expedited fee as long as I have availability to schedule you for the interview within the timeframe.

How to get started:

To get started, either you or your attorney can contact me by email. Please note the type of case you have, when you need the report by, your attorney’s name and contact information, or if you are the attorney, the applicant’s name and contact information.

I will then contact you with some options for scheduling within the needed timeframe, and once scheduled I will create an online client portal for you to sign on and read/sign consent forms, as well as fill out some information gathering forms and online symptom questionnaires.

For languages other than English or Spanish, you are welcome to provide your own professional interpreter. I discourage the use of family/friends as interpreters. If you need help finding an interpreter please let me know.

What do I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Due to length of scheduling blocks, I require 48 hours notice to cancel your immigration evaluation appointment. I do ask that you take this appointment seriously, as I may not reschedule if there is a pattern of cancellations or a “no show/no call”. Appointments do start on time. You will receive a reminder email 48 hours prior to the appointment, a text message 24 hours and a text message 10 minutes prior to the appointment. If you arrive later than 15 minutes the appointment may be considered missed and may need to be rescheduled.

If you do not attend your session or need to cancel with less than 48 hours notice, a fee of $100 will be charged to your card. I require all clients to store their credit card information within my secure client portal (managed by Stripe) in order to hold the appointment. I will not charge your card without prior notice.
